Fully Recommended Tentative Agreements Reached

The Fred Meyer Division and UFCW Local 555 Bargaining Committees are pleased to announce that we have reached fully recommended tentative agreements on the expired Portland and Bend grocery and meat contracts: on all other Oregon and southwestern Washington grocery, meat, and non-food contracts, as well as agreements for the newly organized non-food units in Springfield and Grants Pass. This is great news for everyone! This allows us to do what we do best – serve our customers and support our communities.

These tentative agreements will not only invest in the associates who are hardworking union members, by putting more money in their paychecks, they will also give the business the operational flexibility needed to meet customer demands.

Both the company bargaining committee and your Unity Bargaining Committee worked carefully to reach these agreements, which will recognize our associates’ hard work by delivering significant wage increases, maintaining affordable healthcare, and providing an industry-leading pension for retirement.

UFCW Local 555 will share more information on the fully recommended tentative agreements and provide voting details over the next week. Your store leader and union representative can also answer questions you may have.

Both your Union and Fred Meyer invite you to review and consider the entire tentative agreement, and both parties are encouraging a YES vote. This is a fully recommended offer by both parties.

Thank you for your patience during this process and your commitment to serving our customers and community.
